Agent-Based, Distributed Diagnosis for Shipboard Systems
نویسندگان
چکیده
The ability to reconfigure a ship's engineering plant in response to changing mission or equipment conditions can dramatically increase a ship's capability and survivability. We describe the agent-based, distributed diagnostic aspects of a distributed control architecture that integrates multiple ship systems and provides resourceand diagnostic-driven reconfiguration at multiple system levels, such as mission-level, process-level and component-level. We embed systemand subsystem models in distributed, agent-based components to provide distributed diagnostics. We demonstrate this architecture using a shipboard chilled water system application.

Adaptive Distributed Consensus Control for a Class of Heterogeneous and Uncertain Nonlinear Multi-Agent Systems
This paper has been devoted to the design of a distributed consensus control for a class of uncertain nonlinear multi-agent systems in the strict-feedback form. The communication between the agents has been described by a directed graph. Radial-basis function neural networks have been used for the approximation of the uncertain and heterogeneous dynamics of the followers as well as the effect o...
متن کاملOptimization of majority protocol for controlling transactions concurrency in distributed databases by multi-agent systems
In this paper, we propose a new concurrency control algorithm based on multi-agent systems which is an extension of majority protocol. Then, we suggest a clustering approach to get better results in reliability, decreasing message passing and algorithm’s runtime. Here, we consider n different transactions working on non-conflict data items. Considering execution efficiency of some different...
متن کاملDistributed Optimal Generation Control of Shipboard Power Systems
Traditionally, power system scheduling and control are separately implemented. To bridge the gap between these two activities, online adjustment of the optimal schedule is necessary. Because such adjustment degrades energy efficiency and dynamic response, it is desirable to integrate the two functions seamlessly. One possible solution is to optimize the control references directly. In this pape...

SILS (Shipboard Integration of Logistics Systems) is an umbrella program initiated and sponsored by Dr. Phillip Abraham in the Logistics Directorate of the U.S. Office of Naval Research (ONR). The SILS vision is a system of systems that brings together shipboard and shore based data and information sources in a single integrated environment. SILS MRAT (Mission Readiness Analysis Tool) is a high...
متن کاملCondition-Based Maintenance: Algorithms and Applications for Embedded High Performance Computing
Condition based maintenance (CBM) seeks to generate a design for a new ship wide CMB system that performs diagnoses and failure prediction on Navy shipboard machinery. Eventually, a variety of shipboard systems will be instrumented with embedded high-performance processors to monitor equipment performance, diagnosis failures, and predict anticipated failures. To illustrate the general principle...
